I was a very ignorant buyer. My team was very professional and helped me through the process. I was very grateful to have them. Many thanks to Jeremy Arnold, Jen Storm, and Zachary Spaniol for being the best team ever.

Look at lot of it was good but 2 major thinks r y im giving a bad review. 1st they sat on documents that we submitted for 2 weeks before looking at it then told us the week before closing it was wrong and needed to be redone. It was for well water tests. They did not give clear instructions on how to take the test and thus it delayed closing for 2 weeks costing myself not even being able to be there for closing and my girl having to move in without me. Also there where many times where I was ignored. I would text them on say a Wednesday and not hear back for 2 or 3 days. At 1st they where great but when they messed up they dont wanna answer any questions and couldn't even have stuff properly prepped for when the well water test came in. Now I own a house that I still havent been able to sleep in. Glad I was able to get the house in the end but for all the money I paid them u think I'd get better results faster.
Response from Veterans United
Hey Adam,
I'm glad to hear you were ultimately able to get into your home, but I'm sorry the process leading up to closing was so frustrating. Having a closing delayed after documents had already been submitted, especially when there was confusion around the well water testing requirements, would be incredibly disappointing.
It's also concerning to hear that you felt ignored when trying to get updates and answers. Communication is a huge part of the homebuying experience, and I can understand how upsetting it would be to wait days for a response while trying to keep everything on track.
I'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more about what happened and review the concerns you've shared. If you're willing, please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.

Amazing experience made every process easy

Kelly Stephens was patient over the phone and explained what needed to be done when I did not want to upload my docs online to the Veterans United Home Loan site. She then contacted the attorney's office to request a hard copy of the signed closing docs to be sent to me through the US postal service - that were not provided to me at the day of the May 11, 2020 closing (and really should have been - as was done through my experience with other house closings in the past over my 23-yr, 7 mo. military active and civilian career, I had signed 2 copies at same time - one for me and for the other copy to stay for file of seller personnel)….It was a horrible closing experience through a "pandemic" - that was used by the builder attorney office as an excuse not to have any others attend the closing but office admin. and me, so a thank you here to Kelly! A hard copy was finally received at my new address on June 10.....

It was a very quick and easy process and I really appreciated how everyone kept me up to date with everything going on.

Outstanding experience with the whole process. Joel and his team were amazing to work with, they eased my mind when I had worries, reassured my doubts and were completely open and honest every step of the way. I would highly recommend this team to any of my fellow veterans. Extremely thankful to have worked with Joel, Lindsey and the whole Veterans United group. First we were strangers, but closed as family. Thank you for making a dream come true.

My process started 3 years ago with Steven, my credit consultant. Steven gave me a plan, but at first, there was no way; we would just keep renting. Steven called just to check in with me 4 months after he delivered my credit path to ownership. I did absolutely nothing, feeling like there was no way I could do this. Steven talked to me over the phone for around 30 minutes, explaining the process and what I needed to do. After that conversation and block of instruction, I received a call from Steven at least once a week about every negative creditor needing some kind of resolution until we hit all of the negative credit. He never gave up on his promise to me, explaining what needed to happen in each scenario. I was passed on to Andrew, who responded to my realtor and me on a Sunday (no voicemail or anyone else). The entire process with my team at Veterans United the all said contact me if i need anything or have questions.

This is my second VA loan from Veteran United. I closed my loan at the Title Company
on May 28, 2026. And I am going on a Boat Cruise in June 26, 2026. No Stress.
I started my search for a Mortgage locally on the advice of my Realtor. The agent is my wife's friend and her friend is the loan officer. This is what loan agent came up with is to sell my house and $150,000.00 down payment. I almost fell off my chair and I hit knee at the corner on my desk and my wife spilled her milk on my desk. I fired out several messages to Janeanne Stephens at Veterans United to help. Janeanne and her Team can help you with your Mortgage Home Loan just like me. Stress Free.

Mike Rahmoeller our loan Officer was outstanding.

Casey was great! He was super helpful! He did great job at explaining the process and answering any questions.

Everyone was so helpful, when I called with a question they answered us back.

Jeff and his team are superb — I have had multiple sales/ buys over the last 6 years - all simply great

I would still recommend but this buying process was the most stressful transaction I have ever had. Staff not answering on closing day. Then documents not provided until the day of closing. Very poor communication. Very upsetting as the last transaction I had with veterans united was so wonderful that this one feel so short.
Response from Veterans United
Hey Dylan,
Thank you for sharing your feedback and for continuing to recommend us despite your experience. I'm sorry to hear this transaction was so stressful, especially after having such a positive experience with Veterans United in the past.
Not being able to reach team members on closing day and receiving documents at the last minute would be frustrating for anyone. Clear communication is so important during the homebuying process, and I'm sorry we fell short of the expectations set by your previous experience.
I'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more about what happened. If you're willing, please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
