First time homeowner here. I never thought that I would be able to own home like this. Thanks to my loan officer, Patrick Dowd, I am now in debt for the next 30 years for a home that is completely worth it.
My son referred me to Veteran’s United, specifically Colin, after he and his wife purchased their first home. The VU team is very knowledgeable and professional and Colin was great at easing my anxiety through re-financing process and even took time with me after my 12-13 hour shifts at work. Matt was surprised at the lack of cooperation I continued to run in to with my previous mortgage holder and he stepped up and assisted through everything. Thank you VU for everything and for helping me separate from the terribly run previous company.
I dealt with this team for about 5 months. Lots of ups and downs but finally got it done. Very easy to talk with and very helpful. I would call at times and just ask questions they answered them all and if I didn't understand they broke it down and it explained it. Very professional but yet very friendly! Great team!
This team was friendly and did not allow for any type of miscommunication or mystery during the process. Easy to contact and provided instructions and information that was easy to digest.

The process of buying a home is tedious and painful. Every financial aspect is picked through with a fine tooth comb. Veterans United made the process bearable. They really coached me along. When things got confusing or stressful they went above and beyond to talk me through the process and answered every one of my questions no matter how silly they sounded. The portal to upload docs was really user friendly and so easy to check on the status of my loan. I also enjoy being able to text my loan coordinator instead of making a phone call for one quick question. The process was seamless and really great. Everyone who worked on my file made the most stressful situation (home buying) a smooth sailing process. So thankful for my team.

Company was not clear on closing cost. Cost me over 15k when it was done! I’m a 100% Disabled Veteran in Texas and haven’t paid property taxes in over 15 years, bit will have to pay just under 3K this year due to closing table debacle! I should have went with Navy Federal!
