My Veterans United team was great to communicate with. Too many times I was told the numbers were estimated based on their process. Once they tweak that process, the other processes and phases will go as planned. The new app is good overall. The mobile friendly views are good for their internal documents unless the document has a table. Hard to read outside government documents at the closing phase. I can not speak for long distance moves.
Buying a home can be stressful, but Veterans United made the process much easier. My loan team was responsive, knowledgeable, and kept me informed every step of the way. Even when our closing was delayed because the seller wasn’t ready to move out, they stayed on top of everything and worked hard to keep the loan on track. The loan we had was a difficult loan in that it took so long. And in the nine months of waiting we had to keep doing new paperwork. That was hard considering we didn't want to do things electronically. Kelsey and John Kirby worked with us the best they could, but sometimes I could tell Kelsey was exasperated with us and the process. Glad it is done.
Sometime, all the stress of all the trouble not related to these folks just overwhelmed me but they did a great job of reassuring me that it would all work out. They listened!
Craig and the team were great, and the process was pretty smooth throughout. We purchased without a realtor and they helped me with any questions I had.

When we first met Travis Ward, he was just a loan officer. After a few months of interaction with Travis, he became our trusted friend. Travis is warm and articulates. He knows his product very well. He took his time to explain all of our questions within 24 hours. Besides those outstanding attributes, what stand out the most about Travis are he is very patient and his ability to listen to our questions/concerns, he waited for us to finish our questions completely before he responds. Travis never once (never) jumped in the middle of our sentences. We would definitely refer him to our friends and family members for VA home loan. It would be a mistake should Veterans United not to retain his service nor inadequately compensate base on his outstanding skills, personal and professionalism!!
