Very patient with you.
I used the Realtor you guys recommended. I’m sure he bought into some system so he could have first choice. He was over an hour away that was not beneficial to anybody. I would not use them again for this areaAt first I had to remind him of things that were going on in the transaction I felt like I was stuck, stuck between two layers of middle men. When I deposited my earnest money, it should’ve been immediate that all the inspections were scheduled. That didn’t happen and everything was pushed back. It didn’t work out smoothly and I was not happy.I’m only recommending you two others because my first transaction with you in another state worked out very seamlessly.Again, do not pair realtors with people if they are not local
My parents couldn’t never afford to own a house and here I am in my living room. My living room! Growing up in apartments and moving every few year and now I have a house. Stable house that I own. Words can’t describe how good this feel. The team have been awesome and even with the Covid crisis going on they didn’t miss a beat. I want to thank the team that pushed this through so we could close before it cost us more.
Derek, Dustin & the rest of their team were absolutely fantastic. I recommend them to everyone who is getting a VA home loan.
They made the process very easy to transition into home ownership and my questions were answered in a quick and knowledgeable way and always courteous . I would highly recommend Veterans United to anyone looking for a home purchase and loan assistance. Thank you Rosa and to all the team members who helped along the way and make my dream of homeownership possible.
Not very cohesive. Communication was not optimal. Seemed like the person working our loan was new to the process and dropped the ball on several issues. Thankfully, Julia stepped in to attempt to correct the issues. Was not a very professional or competent process.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Christopher,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that your experience felt disjointed and that communication throughout the process did not meet your expectations.
I understand how frustrating it can be when you don't feel confident that everyone is aligned and moving your loan forward smoothly. I'm glad Julia was able to step in and assist, but I'm sorry that the overall experience left you questioning the professionalism and support you received.
I'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your concerns and review your experience further. Please contact me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. The Client Advocate team is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and messages received outside those hours are typically returned the next business day.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
Second time using veterans united and I was pleased with the results even though it was a tough house to buy. Staff was friendly and helpful
My loan team was outstanding. To Clayton, Wendy, Kimberly and any other that worked behind the scenes...words cannot be enough to express the levels of gratitude and happiness my wife and I are currently feeling. At the start of our home buying journey, it seemed like we were biting more than we could chew. Nonetheless, the team and Veterans United helped us through every roadblock and obstacle. You guys transformed this from a nightmare into a dream then into reality. I am so happy I went with Veterans United for my first home. To all my fellow Veterans reading my review...You won't regret choosing Veterans United.
Everyone has been incredibly helpful and polite, and the whole experience went smoother than butter. I was skeptical about the company at first because they asked for some personal information in order to receive a quote, so I naturally gave some bogus answers just to fill in the required slots. Our loan officer called us, and between him and his team, our minds were put at ease. We went from living on a pretend street called "Nunya Business" to closing on our first home. When my husband's orders were put on hold due to SARS-CoV-2, the company was with us every step of the way to make sure we were doing okay. They knew between the limbo with PCS orders and me still working as a nurse, our family was under a bit of stress (as are most others around the world). They sent our family board games to keep us entertained and connected while we were at home as the world went crazy around us. The entire experience has been great, and the team was with us every single step of the way. Veteran's United even supported our decision to get quotes from other lenders as well. After feeling like "just a number" with NFCU, we stuck with Veteran's United because it felt like we were being taken care of like family. If you're on the fence, don't be. Veteran's United is amazing, and we don't regret our decision even for a second!
Excellent Excellent service. Kenny along with his team were outstanding, love them. We put them in a short turnaround situation and they excelled. So very elated to have worked with them
Complete outstanding service and usage for buying a home. Especially first time buying at all. It really enlightens and paves the way for success in the future if you know how to plan it right. Just be sure to have a couple of bucks in your pocket for expected out of pocket expenses.

-VA Funding Fee is too high.
-The strict requirements prevent buyers from purchasing great value homes with major or minor incomplete items, (small things such as tiles, missing a piece of drywall, big things such as old roof, etc.)
-Funding approval takes a long time upon the closing date.
Chelsea, Doug, Anthony, and all who helped me get the home loan did an excellent job. Every thing was done on time and answered every question I had.Thank you guys!
Great service. Was there for me through all of the process
