The underwriter and appraiser that were assigned to me caused unnecessary delays in my home purchase. There should be a better vetting process for who is able to work for/with Veterans United. The randomly selected appraiser wouldn't speak to anyone except the loan officer and was only reachable by email for most of the time until we got his real phone number from the sales agent. VU should require appraisers to have more communication with the actual Veteran that is trying to buy a home. I should not have to do my own investigative work just to contact the appraiser so that I can ask detailed questions about the repairs that are required to make sure there is only one re-inspection needed because I pay for each re-inspection.

I don't think buying a home is an easy process especially in this present market. I hope I never have to do this again and I think my wife would agree. Jamie was AMAZING! I know I wasn't his only client but I felt like I was. My questions were answered so promptly! The whole team - Spencer, Mike, Jamie, Lauren, and Brittany - were the Dream Team! Knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate (lost my father during this process). I felt valued by all team members. When the Sellers needed to close early (6 days after earnest money) Jamie made it happen.
