I was a first time home buyer that was not truly ready for the home buying process. I did not know anything about the steps to buy a house or what was required and when I got into contact with veterans united specifically Derek Russell he explained everything in a simple to understand matter. Before I knew it I was pre-qualified and able to submit bids on houses. Shortly after this I had to move around the country so I backed out of the home buying process. Derek over the next year and a half respectfully kept in contact and assured me that when I was ready again we would have no problems. After this time I was ready again and Derek had me ready to bid on houses in a matter of days. After I had some problems with real estate agents only looking out for themselves and not truly helping us I reached out to Derek to ask for a recommendation and he got me connected with the best local real estate agent. I had an offer accepted and began the closing process on our dream home in less than a week. This is really where veterans united separated from the rest of the lenders. Derek Russell and Nate Arni and the veterans united team made sure I knew everything I needed to do and assisted me in getting everything done in a timely manner to expedite the closing. When I communicated to them that I needed the closing to be a few days early due to my lease that I was leaving they did everything in their power to make that happen and succeeded. Everyone from the very first person (Emily), I spoke to 7 months ago to try to start the process to the very last person which I believe was Corey or Sarah. Either way everyone I had work with me to get me the house I wanted were amazing. Funny to talk to but gets right to the point. They don’t sugar coat anything. They have everyone you need for the process call you they set so much stuff up. I would use them again and again. They were just a really good and easy process.
