First I want to say, Thank you Veteran’s United. My husband and I needed to get in to a 1 story home due to health reasons. I started my mortgage journey in August 2024. After Rocket and Zillow could not meet our needs, I contacted Veterans United. Thanks to Jeremy Arnold and his great team (Beth M. and Vickie B.), we were able to close in December. Veterans United made the process super easy with the “To Do” list. They kept us informed at every step, and the communication was stellar. Jeremy listened to our needs thoroughly, knew what budget we were working with, and what our GOAL was to be in regards to a monthly mortgage payment. He explained exactly what we needed to do (financially) to reach that goal. He is awesome with numbers, and always returned my calls promptly. Jeremy reassured me many times when I had real doubts about certain issues. He walked us thru everything with such a calming demeanor and professionalism. We had a stressful closing issue come up at the very last minute with seller, and it looked like we would not close in 2024, but Jeremy and my realtor Julie C. kept working at it and got the issue resolved. Every thing went smoothly for the most part. I did get flustered over having to repeat sending forms that I had to provide several times to the loan officer and the underwriter.

Their portal online is user friendly, therefore every time I had something on my to-do list, I would get an email. I highly recommend using Veterans United for your home buying needs.
While Tyler was lovely, communication with the underwriting staff was a bit frustrating. We left several voicemails that were never returned, emails were sent a day late, and generally the process was only smooth because Tyler went above and beyond. I recommend a messaging app to communicate with underwriting, I think it would expedite the work.
