I kept seeing advertisement for Veterans United while surfing the web. I had no luck before getting a home but the fact that I am a Veteran, i was curious. Well Curiosity led to a home purchase. I filled out the information for V.U. to reach out and send me some more information. So thankful that everything was mostly electronically available and the education and prompt responses helped make my first ever home purchase. The bonus was the educational videos on many topics that come up during the home buying process. That's not common but very helpful, especially for someone that needs to have all of them readily available in one location is a plus! Big shout out to Jonathan and his team. Jonathan was instrumental in getting us approved and helped educate me along the way and with patience i might add. My Wife has no patience for me and praises Jonathan on his many conversations with me that helped educate both of us along the way. Truly thankful to Jonathan, his team and Veterans United. 1000% will recommend to my friends and fellow Veterans.

Intially the process started well but quickly dissolved into one issue after the other that I felt as the customer/Veteran I did not receive the type of assistance from Veterans United. I was given misinformation more than once! Overall not a positive experience.
I was really surprised at how easy it was to buy a home with Veterans United. I had an amazing team that would do anything to make sure it was as easy as possible. Very open, clear lines of communication.

After a string of disappointments with a prior mortgage company, working with DJ and his team at Veterans United was a relief. EVERY person I spoke with at VU was pleasant and competent in their role. This is not the least expensive place to get a mortgage, but when entering into a years-long and very large transaction, I didn’t want the cheapest company, I needed an ethical and capable team to put the financing together without complications or mistakes. I picked the right organization with VU and DJ is the right guy to get it done.

Veterans United was competitive in finishing the process quickly, 18 days! That is excellent timing, and everyone was in line to finish the process quickly and efficiently. Veterans United was competitive and worked to get my business, beating out other local companies. Removed a ton of the notorious junk fees that local lenders were adding to my total loan cost was helpful, especially with rising interest rates.Thomas Peters was outstanding with the transactional portion of the loan and was incredibly easy to reach out to for completion of all documents to get us to closing. Additionally, the online portal is outstanding. I was able to upload all documents with ease and it also allowed for learning about the process, based on where you were at during the process.I would recommend VU to others and will plan on keeping them in 1st place once we have the ability to refinance in the future!
