I Had the most amazing time working with VU. I would 1000% recomend to anyone thinking about it. Everyone on the team goes above and beyond for you and there are so many personal touches that go a long way. I never once felt like a I was working with a corporation and just a number like some places can make you feel but truly like part of a family. I never felt presured into anything and I felt looked out for at every step. They really help you save money and offer so many resorces. It started out great with Veterans United. I am building a new house (most of it myself) and I had different construction loans with local banks to fund the construction. Veterans United advertises a "construction loan to perm VA mortgage" on their website, which interested me. I told them everything that they needed to know about my self-build (cost, invoices, loans to be paid off/etc and they said that it all made sense and they do this all the time). Long story short, it took me 4+ months to actually "close" with them, meanwhile my interest rate went up more than 2 full points. I was scheduled to close on 3 seperate occasions, only for Veterans United to pull the plug at the last hour because they did not have their house in order. They couldn't agree between their various internal departments (closing, underwriting, etc) and made numerous mistakes that cost me $. They had to find new title companies on multiple occasions because they did not take the time to all review my loan application and understand the details. This is not a company to close with if you have anything out of the "norm" because they are more focused on quantity over quality.

It's nice to see the Veterans United commercials and we are able to say "They are telling and selling the truth when it comes to home buying for veterans." A lot of claims are just that claims as opposed to reality. Our team lived up to everything as advertised. A 6 out of 5 stars.
