There was a couple of things that caught my attention but nothing that Derek and Megan didn't handle. I would recommend these two folks to anyone that is looking to purchase a home with Veterans United

The overall experience was painless and smooth.

It was a total mess didn't close on the actual day was giving the run around on stupid things on paperwork just to delay time because no body wanted to work that week because it was a 4 day for most since it was the 4th of July no one reached out to me or my husband who is battling cancer and had his treatment day prior leaving state of Texas driving a RV with 3 German Shepard dogs it it was a 2 day ride for him and get to Indiana and find out all the bull shit that was sent our way. I the wife had to leave out the following week. But since we didn't close until the following sewage had to leave next day and couldn't help me the husband. Very unprofessional all that was involved with our VA loan. The paper work had to be amended at least 3 times
Response from Veterans United
Hey Robert,
Reading this honestly breaks my heart. I'm so sorry for everything you and your husband went through—not just with the loan process, but having to manage it all while traveling across states, in an RV, with three dogs, and while your husband is battling cancer. That’s a lot for anyone to carry, and the last thing you needed was added stress from us.
It’s clear the delays and lack of communication made an already difficult time even harder. I hate that it left you feeling like you were being strung along or that no one was stepping up to help—especially around a major holiday when folks were out of office. That's not how we aim to support our Veterans or their families.
I'd really appreciate the chance to look into this further with you. If you're open to it, our Client Advocate team is here to listen and help however we can. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re in the office Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, but feel free to reach out anytime.

It was a pleasure doing business with you. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and clear guidance throughout the entire home-buying process made a significant difference. Every question I had was answered promptly, and your quick response to both emails and phone calls was truly appreciated. If I ever purchase another home in the future, I will definitely work with your team again. I truly value the way you conduct business and support your clients.Thank you so much for your outstanding service and support.

Worst support ever. Why ask for my social to authenticate if it doesn’t matter? Why ask for my loan number if it’s just going to not understand? It’s garbage
Response from Veterans United
Hi Taylor,
I'm really sorry your experience with our support team left you feeling this frustrated. It sounds like you were trying to get help and just ran into one roadblock after another—that's not the experience we want anyone to have, especially when you're already dealing with something as stressful as a home loan.
Verifying information like a loan number or Social is meant to protect your privacy and help us locate your file quickly, so it’s especially frustrating to hear that it didn’t actually help get you the answers you needed. I’d be upset too.
If you’re open to it, I’d like to make sure someone on our Client Advocate team takes a closer look at what went wrong. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re here Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST—and we’d appreciate the chance to talk.
Ross Pierson and his team are the best!

Communication is vital in making this process work. VU was very slow in the beginning. Much better toward the end.

From start to finish, it was the easiest process I have ever been through. The website portal has a to do list and I would check several times a day and complete any outstanding to do's. So simple and effeicient

Thank you Veterans United.

John, Kevin, and Tim are all great guys! They all wanted to help me, which they did. Each one had their own role in this whole process which made it feel seamless and effortless. You could tell they wanted to do everything they could for this end result. My wife and I are grateful for Veterans United.
