Andrea Rice and Shelbi Kinney were able to pull off a seemingly impossible dream for my family. My credit history was less than ideal, and even though there was a great deal of manual underwriting required to get us to closing table, they did it in 27 days! The whole process was disorganized and messy. I had to call multiple times to ensure things were getting done and submitted on time. I also got 3 different quotes on rates and paperwork was getting messed up and had multiple errors on loan estimates. I felt very stressed and unsure if we were going to close in time because the communication wasn’t there like it should have been and I had to continually call and check in to ensure numbers made sense and things were being done in time. As a veteran who earned this benefit I highly regret using the VA home loan with VA. I believe it would have been a much smoother process through any other lender.
There were some things that we wanted to know when interested in a house and we didn't get that info. Our daughter and son in law went VA loan and they h ad all their info before purchase. I would never use Veterans United again because of that. The people were great and helped us understand the process as being new home buyers.
