The team was quick and communicative about the loan process. I did have one hiccup with Veterans United Homeowners Insurance Department. First they ghosted me for about a 1 1/2 weeks and it was slowing up the loan process. After multiple unreturned emails, texts, calls, etc....then they did the bait and switch with the total. Although, I ended up using another homeowners insurance, the home loan department was excellent.
From the beginning of my initial contact with Veterans United Home Loans to the closing on our new home, not once did I ever feel uncomfortable or mistreated or was given unsound or incorrect advice during the whole process. Everyone, from beginning to end, was 100% professional and overwhelmingly polite and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I was going to need before going to closing and making sure there were no last minute problems, which there were none. I am a 100% Disabled Veteran, and I wouldn't say this if it were not my true feelings. I would recommend Veterans United to any and all Veterans, and I would recommend them to my children and my friends. Thank you Veterans United for making this a great and outstanding experience!!!
The online process went ok for the most part. App was troublesome at times due to operating system updates. Navigating of it was fine and intuitive however direct feedback from inputs would have been appreciated. Clarification of items requested was the most challenging due to terminology and expected responses.
Only other concern was lateness of requests within the process.
Matt Reehl and Michelle Zeller were wonderful to work with. I would recommend their team to anyone purchasing a home.
VU was quick, concise, & crystal clear throughout the loan process.

The whole loan process is rather intimidating at first, but this loan team really knows how to tame it down. They never left you with any unanswered questions, or feeling like you didn't understand what was expected. It couldn't have been smoother!

Wow!!! Let's be specific! Cory! Cory! Cory! Thank you so much! I came to you from Navy Fed, after finding out for myself that the rumors are true about the shady practices. From the first conversation I had with Cory, it felt like I was in a better environment and was not just a number. I explained that we were up against time because of the NFCU screw ups, Cory listened to the situation, then immediately became family to us. He met literally was with us cradle to grave in the process. Even calling to check on us after he left the office. Understand, it was far past the loan officer phase, but he kept his initial commitment. I thought customer service had died with big companies, but Cory renewed my faith, at least with V.U. I walked away with a .5% lower rate and twice the money back that both Navy Fed, and USAA could get me. Sorry to go on so long, but I coulded let it not be known how great a company Veterans UNITED is and how the have exceptional employees like Cory. Thank you guys so very much. I would definitely recommend, the communication was good on most parts and they were very helpful with any questions I had. This was my first house, so obviously I don’t have a previous experience to compare it to, but overall it went well. The legalities with my wife, being in a different country were very difficult to deal with, but other than that, it was a great experience, and I will be using them again

Veterans United understood the nuances of my case, and my loan officer Chet Kent knew how to help. Veterans United had online classes that explained every step of the process. What was not covered in the online lessons my loan officer explained to me thoroughly. Without Veterans United my wife and I would not be in our dream home.
