When it came time to refinance we originally started with another well known and widely advertised company but experienced pushy and rushed loan specialists. When we found out Veterans United was offering the same type of refinancing we immediately switched. We are so glad we did. Our loan specialist Daniel Lowes and his team guided us through the process just as smoothly and patiently as he did when purchasing our home the first time. Veterans United’s total closing fees were literally 1/5th of the other company who tried to convince us that their ‘credits’ would cover most of the difference yet the paperwork didn’t show that. Veterans United fees were laid out plainly and simply. The whole experience with Daniel, his team and Veterans United wasn’t stressful, it was completed in a timely, professional manner and was actually pleasant. My entire team was amazing. The only issues I had was with the title office. They never called or emailed about setting up the notary or title. Instead when I was on the road I got a call from the notary saying I missed our appointment. After some a call from the title office they set us up at the proper place. When the notary was done, I was trying to get clarification on the wiring instruction. Jed had them call me, and I missed it. When I called back no one answered.. Luckily, wells fargo was fantastic and helped us finish up everything. If there was more communication from the title office, things would not have been so awkward.
Veterans United Home Loans has really taken a lot of stress away during the home buying process. My Loan Team was amazing and the Gem was Jared, my loan officer. He's so relatable and personable. He was amazing and no matter what he made me feel comfortable throughout this entire process. If I called and he missed my call he would make sure to return them each and every time. If I was confused he didn't brush me off or send me to the next person. Jared answered each question and concern with patience. He was very knowledgeable in every aspect of home buying. I spent months building a home only to find out a month before closing the builder terminated my contract. Jared comforted me and encouraged me even though I wanted to give up. He went above and beyond the call of duty for me which is so refreshing. His compassion and concern for my family was and still is the reason I would ONLY recommend Veterans United from here on out...especially Jared. Veterans get taken advantage of so often but Veterans United and their team were amazing. To add icing to the cake, the seller of my property was also an agent. She spent our time at the closing praising how great it was to work with Jared and said she gained a new perspective on the entire company. Now that my family and I are in our new home all I can think of is how smooth this process was because of my Veterans United Team and how bittersweet this is that I won't get to laugh with the best loan officer in the freaking world! Veterans United is a great team. Take their advice with choosing a house and make sure to understand what is in your contract. If you do not understand then do not move forward. My team at VU took a lot of time helping me and I’m confident they will do the same for other families as well.
