Both Nathan Bernier and Destiny Carrillo were very exceptional. They provided us with all the information we needed and answered our questions very thoroughly. They kept us informed of our statuses and ensured we were comfortable with everything before proceeding. They made the entire experience a far more enjoyable and far less stressful time. I unfortunately had experienced a divorce which left me in a difficult financial predicament. Veterans United saw the person and circumstance, not just the credit report and gave me a second chance.

I think the borrower should be more aware of that vaunited doesn't mean u the va! That we have other options in banks. I feel your name is very deceiving and should be make very clear that we have other options! I had a rather rough go on multiple occasions with the staff not following threw and leading to the process being drown out! At the end of the whole process yes I have my Morgage but at times I felt like a burden and u were doing me this huge favor! I wish when things went wrong the wrong party would own the error vs blaming the borrower! I even felt discriminated against at some points! I also feel the loan specialist should have better assistance and the way the assistance speak should be visited in a training class! This is major life changing event people so to feel like less of a person or a BEGGER is uncalled for! I will say by the end of the process Jeff, did show more empathy and became very helpful. In the last 2 weeks of the process is the only time I actually think I felt like Jeff was working for me and not against me! In Jeff defense he is at the mercy of Nate his Assistant to do the right things, well that is not going to happen! That is why I gave Jeff the score of outstanding!

The process of purchasing our home in Alaska was smooth sailing with Veterans United, we will definitely be using them when we goose to purchase another home!

Veterans united was helpful getting me where I needed to be financially, however their preferred agents (used for a small kick back) was horrible. It was like using someone who doesn't know anything about home buying or selling and in end made the process painful. Was late to showing, closing, and could not do anything we needed.

As a Veteran, I would highly recommend Veterans United. They made the VA home loan process a piece of cake. If I were to use military jargon, I would say that Veterans United is "squared away".

I worked with Senior Loan Officer Brendan Wilson. The first time I was contacted by him was when I started to research the home buying experience through Veterans United. Brendan answered all of my questions without pushing me to submit a loan application. He explained the VA loan process in entirety which made me confident in his abilities. I told him that I would contact him after I paid off a debt. He didn't pressure me or even call during that timeframe. One month later, I contacted Brendan and applied for a loan. I received a preapproval letter for the requested loan amount within hours. Brendan stated that after selecting a home, the loan process should take 6 to 8 weeks. I signed for my home during the sixth week.

Here's a Summary of my experience:
1. VA home loan rate decreased during the loan process. VU locked in the new rate
2. Closing costs were too high. VU assisted in substantially lowering my costs by advising me on how to negotiate the costs with the seller.
3. The VA appraiser required a rebuild letter in order to release the NOV. VU informed me, advised me that it was uncommon for all parties involved, and explained it to the best of their understanding. Veterans United worked with the seller's real estate agent and received the rebuild letter within 3 days.
4. Lastly, any concern that I had about the loan process was addressed very quickly via email or phone.

I will repeat this over and over! Your a Veteran looking for a mortgage this is the company your looking for! You won't be made to feel like another customer. They took the time to explain every charge and gave me the guidance through some bumps in the road during the process.
