

I was blessed to call Veterans United first. Once I talked to Nate Alexander, who would become my loan officer-facilitator, I didn't even bother searching for another financing option. I knew from Nate's sincerity that I was going to have a great experience and I did. Hannah Stevens, tied everything together for us and together Nate and Hannah made a great team that I would strongly recommend to any veteran who is looking for a loan.When we were done I thought to myself, "I want to keep talking to them!" Now how often does a person feel so good about a transaction that they wish it would keep going on? Veterans, If you have a down payment, consider going conventional. Nothing but delays with this lender; Delayed my closing for two weeks so I had to purchase storage units. Thank goodness I could stay with family, if not additional housing would have added to my expense.
Loan Officer does not communicate well and will lead you to think all is ok until it is not. Three days before my original closing date, he said I could not close because the appraiser had a family emergency.
This lender has no backup plan. If the primary inspector, appraiser, etc cannot perform their duties, no alternate is in place. Also their underwriting takes forever!!!
I recommend going with any other lender!!!

VU and Kristin were outstanding. This was a refinance and they closed me in record time less than 40 days.
I came to VU after working with another company with lots of Super Bowl ads for 110 days and almost never spoke to the same person twice. They always wanted something else. So glad I found VU and it cost me less money than the other guys (I was probably paying for advertising).

While I did my research and read so many positive reviews on Veterans United and then again for my Loan Specialist, I was excited to start the process. We moved quickly until personal situations made us switch from a VA to FHA loan. That is where it went downhill fast. Communication turned to non-existent, even after I talked with a client advocate. Started the loan process at the beginning of February and here we are at the end of April and I am still waiting for accounts to get paid off.
