Wanted to know where did I get my money that was in the bank, this was none of their business. Wanted to see my withdrawal slips which was none of their business. I had three legitimate monthly incomes... Social Security which I could have lived off of and pay my mortgage with no problem, pension plan from the state and my annuity account which I had six and a half more years of payments coming to me and show them legitimate proof of my monthly receipts and a paper from the company showing them what I make per year and what I still have coming to me and they still had trouble and figuring this out for some reason which held things up. I feel I was put through so much aggravation and trying to prove all my monthly incomes. I'm not pointing the finger at anyone but I had enough of this harassment which I thought was harassment and gave me some stress.

I understand how discouraging it can be to provide information about your income and assets multiple times, especially when you felt you had already supplied clear documentation showing your financial situation. Having to answer additional questions about bank deposits, withdrawals, and income sources can feel overwhelming when you're trying to move forward with such an important purchase.
While certain financial documentation is required as part of the mortgage process, it's important that borrowers feel informed about why information is being requested and confident that their concerns are being addressed along the way. Veterans United was very convenient and hassle free for me. My team was prompt and responsive, answering any questions I had. As a first-time homebuyer purchasing remotely while stationed overseas, VU was able to work around my schedule. Their website and application was easy to use and always avaialable from application process to closing. An interactive checklist was available to keep me on track and included links for information and local recommended services. I couldn't be more satisfied with them.
Getting approved was fast and easy. The whole team is very supportive and responsive. Veterans United Veterans has a great network to get everything set up in your new house before you even move in. Not to mention the discounts you get using their affiliate partners.
Everyone I dealt with at VU treated me with respect and helped make the process so much less stressful than it might have been.
Joel Smith was absolutely the best i have ever worked with. His communication skills were absolutely perfect and he did not push us in anyway. He worked with us through the whole process, kept us informed proactively. He was so organized and personable. My realtor also thought he was fantastic to work with. He made a difficult process seem almost too easy for myself and my wife by his way of explaining everthing.
