I was so fearful when starting the process to buy a home. I was afraid of being disappointed with being turned down. All of my fears were put to rest after the first call from Veterans United. Initially I was going to give VU a ten out of ten but, one time when I called Rynda and left a message, she did not return my call that day or the next day. It wasn't until the next day that I called again and still wasn't able to get ahold of anyone so, I was transferred to the supervisor Brad who was very helpful. I was told everyone was in a meeting, which is understandable but, prior to retiring, when I worked and I walked into my office in the morning and saw that I had a missed a call the previous day, I would immediately call that person back.
The thing that really didn't sit well with me is when Rynda sent me a text about the review stating, "we expect a 10 out of 10". Pressuring someone for a 10 out of 10 even slightly or passively is "unprofessional" in my opinion. Soliciting a review should be enough without the pressure of receiving a perfect score. She probably didn't mean anything negative or offense when requesting a perfect score but, that maybe an inherent problem with communicating via text instead of verbally.
Nevertheless, my experience with VU was excellent, just not perfect.
I was completely blown away by the level of customer service. Simply astonished. I look forward to doing more business with Veterans United doing mortgages as well as insurance. If I had the money to buy another home I would absolutely do it right now and give you guys a call! Thank you so very much for a very positive and wonderful first time home buyer experience!!
