The first loan officer- Jake- was not ideal. He was less than honest to us and at the smallest obstacle stated there was nothing to be done. I had to take it upon myself to submit my condo for va approval- which occurred less than 24 hours after my submittal. When I called they said there was nothing in queue- I stayed on the phone with the VA employee and submitted the required documentation. Jake then said the next day that was due to his “above and beyond” work. I didn’t feel safe, taken care of or respected by him. He also would speak directly to my boyfriend (in phone calls) and not myself- the one actually applying for the loan.

All of my loan team especially Megan Staszcuk and Nichole Smith were very good. Megan and Nichole both had to talk me off the ceiling so to speak when there were speed bumps along the way. No question was to insignificant to them and they were excellent at putting my fears to rest. They were also honest and realistic in there answers even if they were not what I wanted to hear. Even when there were hiccups or speed bumps in the process (like needing a structural engineer to assess the home) they were quick to point out it was for my protection as a new homeowner. From start to finish I was very very pleased. I HIGHLY recommend Veterans United!
This is a second home of all by far the smoothest experience I had buying a house. Everything was very easy not a lot of legwork on my end so it took away a lot of the stress of buying a home!
While I did my research and read so many positive reviews on Veterans United and then again for my Loan Specialist, I was excited to start the process. We moved quickly until personal situations made us switch from a VA to FHA loan. That is where it went downhill fast. Communication turned to non-existent, even after I talked with a client advocate. Started the loan process at the beginning of February and here we are at the end of April and I am still waiting for accounts to get paid off.
