This experience has been nothing short of amazing. Every step of the way the past 2 months has been seamless and full of open communication. The online format for submitting paperwork and signing documents makes everything extremely easy to do while on the go. I will recommend Veterans United Home Loans to every Veteran that I know that is in the market for a home!
Sam was great and was very attentive. 30 days start to finish great mortgage lender!!!!
This company is awesome. Everyone that works with Veterans United is extremely helpful and they always get the job done. I initially had Veterans United but then my mortgage went to Freedom. I was quite upset when this happened but I know this happens all the time. I just figured since I am a widower of a Vietnam vet I could stay with Veterans United. Fortunately I just did a refinance with Veterans and all I can say I am very happy. The people that work for Veterans United should do training for other mortgage companies. I am so pleased with all the staff from Veterans that were involved in my refinance. Great Job!!!
Veterans United was great to work with. My Loan Specialist, Steven Ross, was fully vested in ensuring I had a great experience. Not only did he take the time to answer questions, he did so very efficiently and thoroughly. He was very flexible and kept me updated every step of the way. He went above and beyond what I expected from a loan officer. I have never worked with a better one. Outstanding experience thanks to Steven and the other VU staff. I highly recommend Veterans United!
I enjoyed the experience. it was my best experience in terms of the loan process. i would recommend the loan officer and the the agent to my closest friends

Thank you!
I would highly recommend going with Veterans United for any home loan. I spent considerable time deciding on a mortgage company to work with and I could not be happier with the choice I made. They made this a positive experience for us by being fast, friendly, and efficient!

Veterans United is an amazing company to work with. My loan process was longer than usual based on waiting for my VA eligibility letter and needs of the seller. Veterans United stuck with me every step of the way and went to bat for me to expedite the process. Would definitely recommend this company to fellow veterans.
Veteran United stayed in contact and made the process moved along with great service.
The loan process needs to be streamlined. Too many different people resulted in miscommunication and confusion for us, the buyers. Once a loan officer is designated per customer, it should stay with that person all the way to the end. When a closing date is approaching, the buyer should not find out the day before that a step in the process did not get completed and because of that, the closing date must be moved several days out, indefinitely. But for sure by the last day of the month to meet someone else's deadline. This negatively impacted our lives as we relocated our entire life half way across the country. We were given a very tight closing date to begin with and we managed to meet our end of the deal only to find out that our closing date was pushed further out because one person did not meet their deadline when they had almost 10 days to do it. This ended up costing us, not only monetarily, but, 15 years of our lives from our old home that got disposed of, thrown out. There were other major inconveniences that could've and should've been avoided if the initial closing date were more realistic and management of it was streamlined.
Lastly, we were whisked through signing the closing documents by the title company because it was late on a Friday. She almost left without the closing cashiers check that we went out of our was to obtain. We felt like an imposition at that point.
Basic Consideration for the Buyer/Buyers (Your Veteran Customers) should be a primary factor in the home loan process period. Loan Officers working with Veterans should be 100% familiar with their customer base, be professional and assertive enough to adhere to deadlines. We're not asking for "special treatment" but there are aspects of Veterans lives that are particularly unique from the general public. Especially those of us who've been around for a while. Get to know your Veteran customers a little bit before mopping the floor with us.
On the upshot, there are other parts of Veterans United that are appropriate for first time buyers however, any recommendations for services (movers, utilities, etc..) should be thoroughly researched first. Just because they are recommended by Veteran's United does not mean these companies are accustomed to working with Veterans and have your best interests in mind. Think: They don't and demand the best that fits your needs.
