The points of contact I had during my home buying experience were Kayla, Cody, and Jordan. They were all very excellent in their thoroughness and diligence in providing and explaining all the information I needed about purchasing a home. I personally had absolutely no previous experience in realty matters, but those three were kind and patient with me as we worked from pre-approval all the way through closing.Mind you, I never stepped foot in the house I live in now, yet it's absolutely perfect. We finished this entire process online because I was either at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas or my previous home in Washington State. Any complications someone might think would make this process difficult because of COVID or not being physically present are absolutely non-existent. Their website is so intuitive to use. It's a streamlined checklist that makes everything that's required easy to provide. They were thorough and everything I'd expect was included as well, like home and pest inspections. If I had any questions, I had a direct line of communications with the team at Veterans United. Text, email, or phone call; if I needed to know something, they gave me a quick and complete response.I'd also like to also single out Kayla. In the final hour, when everything was ready to go, we hit a last second hitch that was bookended by a deadline the following week. If we did not meet this deadline, the seller's would have rescinded our contract and moved on to another buyer. There was little I could do, but Kayla kept at it and made sure we would close. It is because of her special care regarding our case in particular that my family and I now have a home here. The butterfly effect of that is we did not have to give up our dogs (lab/pitbull mixes), and my expecting wife (now 13+ weeks pregnant) can feel comfortable in a home of our own, versus being in an apartment or rental. PCSing almost 3000 miles is hard enough. Yet in comparison, buying a home was genuinely easy thanks to my realtor Sheryl, and the team at Veterans United. If I ever have friends or colleagues that also PCS to Keesler or the surrounding areas, I will 100% recommend Veterans United Home Loans.Thank you so much, truly.
