The VA loan process is more involved than the traditional home loan. The underwriting phase is especially tedious. However, Veterans United members under the direction of Joe Choi provided assistance and explanations that kept the stress level down to a manageable level. The only real problem was the VA assigned home appraiser and Joe had no leeway in addressing our problem with the appraiser’s methodology. Joe gave us great help and insight from start to finish.
Veterans United came along at the perfect time for us when we needed a quick, professional process for buying a home using the VA loan option. The process was smooth, and we were guided every step of the way with the loan specialist team. The “to-do” checklist that let us know what steps we needed to work on as we went along was convenient. Don't believe what you read on the internet, Veteran United are one of the best home loan companies out here. Great people and friendly professionals folks.
Veteran United is very friendly and professional, but they also made shocking errors in our closing disclosure, which would have shorted us $3,000 if not for our realtor. Our realtor pointed out that they also charge nearly two times for closing costs for homes she was buying for clients through different lenders. I don't know if I would use them again in the future after those glaring blemishes on their record.
