Our first experience years ago was great but not this time. We were told before we started our drive cross country that we were all good and that everything was ready for closing. We were driving from Texas to Georgia with animals. The day of the walk through the day before the closing the title company called and let me know they had received nothing from Veterans United! We had specifically asked them if they would get everything to the title company by 4 so we could close the next morning. They had assured us that it would be done. After talking to the title company we began calling Veterans United to see what happened. We were basically given the run around for hours! One time they even said well everyone is on lunch now. We called the client advocate and everyone we could trying to get a rush so we could close when we were scheduled. After a lot of upset emailing back and forth and many phone calls the whole day we finally got word that it got there but too late for our morning closing. So the title company was super nice and squeezed us in for the afternoon.
We had to get a hotel for an extra night for the animals to have a place during the late closing and had to get everyone to reschedule everything like movers and contractors. So on a day we were supposed to be celebrating our new home we sat in a hotel stressed and trying to get Veterans United to do their part. We always responded quickly when they needed something and had already sent our closing money. If it wasn't for our great title company alerting us that they hadn't received paperwork from Veterans United who knows how delayed the closing would have been! It was a very stressful time so I would not want anyone to experience what we went through.
Garrett contacted me often and kept me in the loop also so have to give him a good job too.
