Overall fast process
Veterans United worked very well for me in securing a VA loan for a home purchase in Texas. Warning to veterans looking to buy a home, remember there are a lot of lenders out there and it's YOUR responsibility to do the proper research. They're business and they will attempt to make the most profit possible, so it becomes YOUR responsibility to find out if the lender you select will do what is beneficial in YOUR personal situation. Be prepared, have all of the needed personal docs needed for a loan application, respond to the request of docs right away. If you have any questions call your loan assistant and get an answer. In my research I found out that Veterans United is one of the best VA lenders available, then I read independent reviews about Veterans United and most of the reviews were highly favorable. I closed escrow (30-days) Jan. 19, 2021, with a VA loan funded!

The underwriting process was very frustrating. Every other day something would happen that pushed our closing dates by weeks. The frustration was with being told, we have everything, then they would message oh wait please resend this. Simple things like insurance on the new property could have been avoided if we were notified early on.
lets hope your servicing the loan will be as good as handling the refinance.
