I would not recommend Veterans United to any vets looking to purchase. My attorney warned me and I chose not to listen, I wish I had!! The flow of information was atrociously poor at times, which make a stressful situation even more stressful!! There were some bright spots in the loan process timeline, but those were unfortunately overshadowed by the numerous grey clouds that frequently popped up through the process.

Stephan, was extremely helpful and friendly. He was very responsive and answered all my questions. He was able to drop my interest by almost 2% and lowered my payments by $120 a month. We closed in 26 days. Believe it or not he actually made this loan experience very pleasant, I would say it is the most enjoyable loan experience I've had period. He added the human touch to the experience. I never felt like I was just another client he was trying to get approved to get rid of or like I was bothering him in anyway. He went out of his way to help me in any way he could. I would highly recommend Stephen Erickson to any veteran trying to get a home loan . I hope I get the chance to work with him again..
This was my second home loan with VU. They're constantly improving and streamlining the VA home loan process, and they also do a lot for both our local community and the veteran community.
My wife and I were very pleased with our experience at Veterans United. I was initially skeptical about using a company that was out of state, but they were always available through email, phone or text. They kept us updated every step of the way and were patient when we had questions. Their website was easy to navigate and most of the documents that we had to sign initially were dummy proof.
