I started the process in July by getting my small credit cards paid off. I paid my bills on time and got my credit report in order. I got pre approval to see how much money I could spend within my budget and went home shopping. Finding the home I wanted was actually the longest part of the process in my market area! The entire process my loan team was available by phone, text or email. The VA home appraisal was no harder than a regular one, the cost was under $600.00, and it took about 7 days. All fees associated with the loan are clearly defined, and easy to understand, there are no 'suprize' fees, no scams, or hidden fees associated with the loan process here at VU. All closing costs are clearly defined well before the loan closes. The team worked with my realtor, and by October I was a homeowner. As long as everyone works together, the process really isn't that hard. I am a first time homeowner... and my team made that dream a reality!
