I would recommend going through Veterans United but I would caution people to seek out their own realtor.

way to many STUPID issues when trying to buy a house..

Availability of team members to me was exceptional

I was given a pre approval for enough to buy my new home even though I had my current home. My current home was closing one week after my home I was purchasing. Two days before closing I was given all clear and no problems with my closing on Friday. Thursday, I am told I can’t and I had to come up with 10,400 to close on my house. I had already spent 2400.00 on movers and my family was packed. I was told I had to wait till the following Friday when I closed on my old house. Well, this contradicted everything that had been relayed. I had to spend all my savings to keep my family on track and not lose money spent already for the move. These employees get paid to make Veterans home buying experience smooth, however this was ridiculous. These folks are nice, but they cost me money I had saved. I am just blessed I had enough to get my family moved.
Response from Veterans United
George, we're sorry to hear issues arose around your closing. Our Client Advocate team will look into your approval process to see if we could have prevented this from happening. We're grateful you took the time to provide this feedback so we can continually be working to better our service for Veterans.

My only upset during this process occurred during my closing. We discussed several options regarding who’s name would be on the mortgage and who’s names were on the deed. We were reassured several times that it would not be an issue with just me being the borrower, and Me and my significant other on the deed. During closing, the Title company informed me that was not an option. I was informed the borrower and names on the deed had to match. I’m currently in the process of hiring another company to add my significant other on the deed for an additional $230. An unexpected expense.
