We connected with two other loan companies and advisors prior to working with Steve Gustafson and Veteran’s United. The other companies made us feel like a burden because we were using a VA loan. We weren’t a priority. Steve and his team were helpful, informative and gave us an excellent experience. Steve helped us to feel like a priority and that it was his pleasure to help us on this exciting journey. Buying a home can be stressful but it also can be happy and memorable if you got the right people on your team like Steve and Tiffani of Veteran’s United.
Katie Willis was our loan specialist, we feel as though she made this experience very stressful and was poor at communicating with us thus bringing us down to the wire in closing our home loan on time. Yes we did close on time however we were down to hours wondering if it was going to happen at all. I feel the break down of communication between what was pending and needed fell on her, I understand the VA did not do appraisal on time and that should of been communicated to us as soon as it was rescheduled, instead of her answer to me " when I know you'll know" when in fact I had to later call and beg appraiser to upload appraisal or "we would not close". Please contact me for further details on this unhappy process. I don't feel rating Veterans United as a whole or Katie Rose whom was very helpful the two time we spoke based on Katie Willis is fair.
