Overall Veterans United make the process to homeownership very structured and simple. I liked the ease of the website and constant communication with the loan specialist.
So I have a fairly mixed review. I would recommend VU but take time and do your research. I went back and forth on the cost of things and who had to complete what work prior to closing and whether or not there was the need for another inspection. My initial closing cost came to over 10k before seller covering some cost and even after getting follow up disclosures, they still predicted 2K out of pocket. I ended up paying 108 dollars after seller contributions. I understand that they are conservative to prepare you for worst case scenario but be prepared to watch the numbers go up and down. You won't get your real numbers till a day or two prior to closing if you are lucky. I got mine a couple hours before I signed for the house.
Great experience. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Very accessible even through a pandemic. While I think face to face interactions are sometimes important and helpful; the friendly staff at Veterans United, along with them having pictures of the staff made me feel like I had actually met them and greatly improved the experience.
Is a learning experience. Do as they tell you to do....don’t sleep on it. You’ll be in your new home sooner than you think.
This home buyer experience was the best thanks to Veteran's United and their great staff it was smooth as possible.
If I had any advice it would be just to get what is needed and is listed on the to do sheet as quick as possible.

These people are great! They’ll get the job done. I was almost suspicious about how smoothly it all went, because nothing is ever this easy, but they’re legit. If you’re eligible for a VA loan I don’t see how this process could be more efficient than the way Veterans United does business.Just call them and buy a house. It’s literally that easy.
This was the most easiest process in securing a mortgage for my home. Kyle and Veterans United did not make me jump through hoops like other lenders have done over the years. The total experience from start to finish was pleasant, easy, professional and just good. If you are a vet, why would you do business anywhere else but at Veterans United.
