I was referred to Veterans United through the Zillow app. I had never heard of them before, but when several friends heard I was going with VU for my home loan, they had nothing but glowing reports of outstanding service. I quickly discovered why they have that reputation - it's always military appreciation day at VU; they roll out the red carpet. From pre-approval to closing their transparent process was easy, understandable, and friendly. Their web portal for uploading documents is the gold standard for how a web portal should work - securely with any device and easy to use. No moments of wondering what's needed next or if they got it. If I need home financing in the future, I'll definetely be back. They recommended a local realtor who was outstanding and also knowledgeable about VA lending. Despite the COVID 19 pandemic, my home buying proceeded smoothly. Hats off to VU!
Would recommend to anyone. Crystal is clearly a professional, her team was as well (Bret Metcalf). While buying a house is daunting, it's the right choice for service members when the area is right. I think more service members would buy if they new how Veterans United could help them through the process.
