Extremely long and drawn out underwriting phase. Seems at times the underwriter was just nit picking for things! The VU staff was very good to deal with and other than the underwriting process all went very smooth.

It's important to get all the required material in as soon as possible. They may need backup of anything you submit, so where you think they need one, they may later need something to confirm the first item you sent. So whatever you pulled together, a second piece to confirm that info may be required. Veterns United helped me each step along the way. We closed on schedule, and now have a new home.

You will not be disappointed. Even though they might not be “local” so you can’t just walk into an office, they will get what they need to do done promptly! In 40 days from my approval date I have closed and am now a new proud homeowner. Nate was the efficient and would answer all thousand questions and very patient during the process for us. If in the future we were to buy again I would hope Nate is still a point of contact for us as he has earned us for life; and we also for the best interest rate!!!

I was skeptical at first. You know that there are lenders out there that take advantage of people - and their lack of knowledge on legal matters.
