We had too many conversations of "I have everything I need.... " then a day later getting an email saying veterans united needed 5 more things. This happened on multiple occasions. Not being in the area made communication difficult. They messed up our address multiple times. My wife was never copied on emails she needed with document info she needed to sign. Overall, it added way more stress than we needed
I would highly recommend Veterans United. The home buying process can be long and tedious, at times. Veterans United made the process as simple and un-annoying as humanly possible. We felt as if our loan officer and his team were personal friends helping us through the process and getting us into our home. Even the smallest questions/requests were answered quickly and thoroughly and always with respect. We were kept informed and were encouraged to ask any and all questions we had.
Although I did not use a realtor, they still offered to let me call them at any time with any questions I had it for assistance if I needed any. Matts team was always very professional yet also for well and always replied to my questions or even comments right away. I knew that if I emailed one of them with a question, I would have my answer within 5 minutes time, which was extremely apprciated as I was having to answer my sellers questions as well as my husbands(who works out of state). I was and still am confident in matts entire team (Dakota and Aaron). They made me feel confident and informed about my decision to buy a home. My neighbors at the apartments I lived in prior to my new home decided to purchase a home shortly after we did & we're asking me all kinds of questions about the process. Because of my wonderful experience with my team I told them to go through veterans United home loans, which they are, because the team really makes it such an easy, painless process. I have already recommended Veterans United to multiple others who have mentioned purchasing a home & will continue to do so.

Professional lender making each homebuyer feel like they are the most important. Everyone we interacted with with were all working toward the same goal. This team works very well together, Very positive experience.
Very military friendly. The teamwork displayed was very noticeable and you can tell everyone was willing to go the extra mile to make the process very painless.
They are a great company.
An excellent choice if you are looking to buy a home.
Tonya and Garrett were fantastic! They always went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
We hit a few snags but I do really feel like everyone worked hard to help with things that were ultimately out of their control, such as higher than usual flood insurance and unexpected closing cost increase.
Overall I was very happy with Vererans United Home Loans. Buying a home is a long process and it takes time to find the right place at the right price and/ also reach your expectations as a home buyer but Veterans United helped me quite a bit being a first time buyer. They always responded to my requests with urgency and guided me every step of the way threw the whole process which was awesome. My real estate agent from Veterans United was pretty much always able to meet me at any house at any time to do a viewing and I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by that. The only thing I wasn't completely satisfied with was the fact that my real estate agent did not send me many listings that met the criteria I specifically requested, which meant that we had to spend a lot of time searching online listings and driving around to find places that might be the right fit. She sometimes didn't explain things. Being a first time home buyer, I knew basically nothing about buying a house, and I felt that should have been taken into consideration more by my agent as far as how she approached the situation. Overall we are extremely happy, we now are officially home owners thanks to Veterans United Home Loans and I am very excited for our future! Twila, Ashley, Kyle, and Holly.. And anyone else I might have missed.. Thank you all so much for your help with everything! And yes, I would recommend Veterans United to a friend!
We are very happy with our experience with Veterans United. Without their help we simply could not have purchased the home we wanted. They were easy to work with and gave us confidence that we would get our home.
It has been a hassle from the start. At times, it seems the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing or did. Some of the required paper work should have been consolidated rather than sending it over a period of time. But then again, what could be expected when dealing with financial intermediaries associated with the government. I feel this process could have been expedited in a more timely fashion. No, any Veteran contemplating dealing with United Home Loans for the soul purpose of purchasing a home loan should seek alternative options. And no, I would not recommend Veterans United Home Loans.
