If you are unsure if you qualify for a loan, still call them. They will get you on the right track. I called thinking i would never qualify and less than 2 months later we were in our dream home. Veterans United will go out of there way to answer any and all questions you have, they also have a lighthouse program free of charge for veterans to help with getting your credit good enough to get qualified.
Those ladies were a very great help to me with their guidance through the loan application and the To-Do's! I will be eternally grateful for their professionalism. Their attitudes were also noteworthy and very uplifting.
It is not a fast process but they are very detailed and willing to help day or night. We were so excited to close on our forever home.
It would have been nice to receive the closing costs a little earlier than a couple of days prior to closing. I am unsure if this is normal but it was very stressful.

The Veterans United process was easier than buying a car at the used car lot outside of your first duty station... I would highly recommend Veterans United to any veteran or retiree that wants a fast, easy, simple process unlike getting gear at supply (AKA CIF), going to Dental or waiting in line at the chow hall on the 14th of the month....
