I truly never imagine buying a home being so easy. From the day I applied for pre approval to the day I signed for my house it was only 34 days. Ashley, Lauren and Olivia made my first home buying experience a breeze. Buying a house was literally easier than buying a washer and dryer thanks to this teams. Much appreciation and gratitude to this team. Thank you for making this milestone event a positive memorable one. This was the best possible outcome! Thank you again!

Please let 1st time VA home buyers know zero down isn't really zero down.
Unless you are going to let them bake every appraisal, inspection and closing cost into the loan.
I recommend Vet United only because of so much that paperwork was done online.
That being said, items placed in the todo list can be very confusing to 1st time buyer.
cough* $6900 estimated closing cost that wasn't close to correct.

Response from Veterans United

Thank you for the feedback and for the words of wisdom, Solomon. While the VA home loan doesn't require a down payment, there are other costs that are typically the responsibility of the buyer. Veterans United takes great care to disclose estimated costs early and throughout the home buying process in addition to being available to answer any questions our veterans may have. We hope you celebrate many happy years in your home!

As mentioned earlier, this has been a long process...Literally, months went by and I'm sure Benjamin and Parker wondered more than once whatever happened to me. But, everytime I did contact them or they contacted me, the conversations were always informed, positive, and helpful. I now have the home of my dreams at a mortgage price I can comfortably afford, and I love my current situation. Benjamin has assured me that, when interest rates go down, he will be sure to contact me and explain what that means to me...and I am sure he will. I have a great fondness for VU and that's not something many people can say about their mortgage company now, is it?

Honestly, I just can't believe how much support I got from VU. I did not think that kind of service existed anymore! I did not just have one person to help me but an entire team! There were group chats, group emails, and phone calls throughout the entire process from start to finish. I was never left questioning anything or wondering what was next. And the portal made everything so easy, giving me a to-do list, documents, and information all on one personal page. I could not believe how smooth VU made this home-buying experience, especially considering how hectic and crazy the home-buying market is right now. Thank you so much!

The whole experience was eye opening. Every team member doing their part to make an amazing end result. Everyone on the team communicated their part to me and with each other. This includes John and Chuck from the realtor side. What could have been an overwhelming experience became so much less stressful as a result. Thank you all.

The whole team, from the front line to the underwriters, was excellent. I can say that I never once felt left out in the cold by my team. They were by us every step of the way, explaining and patiently understanding when we did not get what was happening. I can whole-heartedly recommend each and every one of them to any service member looking for the best home buying experience ever.

From start to finish I wasn't sure I was going to get a house this year and was ready to throw in the towel, but the team was working hard for me and I am so thankful they had patience to stay the course and I just can't thank them enough 🙏🏾

I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with Veterans United. You claim to be veteran friendly and help disabled vets but you transferred my loan to a 3rd rate servicing company before I even made my first payment! Now, I am past due because I was not given any notice nor did my autopay happen. I CHOSE to do business with your company to have that backing, but you are really just loan sharks preying on Veterans and their families through your "name". I would NEVER recommend your company to anyone I know. Your business model is shameful. Not to mention, out of all the mortgage's/refinances/loans etc. that I have ever had, your process was the worst and more importantly, we did not close on time due to it. You're the only company I have worked with that FAILED to close on time. I regret my decision to trust veterans united with my money and credit rating. I look forward to letting my entire community know how you sell the united BS and now I am stuck with a new servicing company that I cannot even talk to a customer service representative at or set up an online account! I cannot believe this, such a betrayal in the name of making money. To heck with your sham company and it's investors. At least USAA and Navy Federal actually practice what they preach, which is why they will still be in business when the next housing crash comes. Signing off - Just one more veteran you've screwed. PS: Travis was lousy and I wouldn't work with him in the future at any company.

Response from Veterans United

Thank you for your feedback, Dan, and we're sorry to hear your loan servicing isn't living up to your expectations. Loan servicing transfers are common-place, but we never want you to feel disappointed. We remain available to help you address issues you may encounter, even if those issues arise outside of Veterans United. Please contact our Client Advocate Team for further assistance and with any questions. Thank you.
