James followed up every week even after my file went over to the underwriting team. He explained the process and made sure I knew what was going on. James also gave heads up if changes were made. I still closed on schedule and James came for my closing which was very nice. I am so happy and grateful for his kindness, patience and professionalism.

My lender was Don Smith. Don was fantastic to work with. I was frustrated with many last minute requirements by the underwriters, who kept “moving the goalpost” by frequently coming up with new requirements, or changing previous ones after I completed them. It was quite frustrating, and there was a period of time when it seemed like the loan wasn’t going to be funded, lasting up until the day before closing when we got the word that the underwriter was finally satisfied and wouldn’t have any more last minute hoops for me to jump through.Don was my point of contact, so he had to bear the brunt of my frustrations. He handled the situation with patience and the utmost professionalism. It was apparent throughout the process that Don is an expert at his job and that he is passionate about helping buyers get across the finish line. I cannot speak highly enough of Don Smith.
