Thanks for creating this process not only to ease veterans housing process use but even to ensure that veterans recive top quality resources and benefits
My wife and I would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone involve with our first home buying experience. A special thanks and recognition goes to Tina Cigala, Erin Gersbach, the entire Veterans United Staff, Jason Johnston (Coldwell Banker), Robin Smith (Keller Williams) and Harry and Angie Clamon.
Reggie Soriano is probably the best Real Estate agent. Always maintain a positive happy attitude and a can do spirit. His tireless efforts and always on the move, on time on appointments is not going unnoticed. Thank you Reggie Soriano. See you in a few months. God Bless!
>Never provided with the final figures before closing. Todd said the title/closing agency had them. The closing agency said Todd had them. We literally had no firm idea of what the closing costs were going to be until we showed up for the closing.
>Several documents that were intended to help us understand the costs were confusing, very confusing. I never understood why the Termite Inspection would not show the actual inspection document and figures instead of some generic doc and amount. Several other things fell into this same problem compounding the confusion of where the loan process was taking us.
>Part of the frustration came from others working with Todd. Adam Underwood frequently sent us documents that bordered on unprofessional. His use of colored fonts and all caps was an insult and not something I've seen any professional use in communication emails. Adam told us in one email we didn't have the money to close. This hit me as, "Unbelievable"! Ended up he was looking at the wrong account and I do credit Todd with correcting his misstep.
>I don't know how much influence VU has in selecting an appraiser but ours was an idiot. Appraising a home that is over one hundred years old must have some consideration for age, neighborhood, etc. If not, then no veteran would be able to buy such a house. The appraisers estimate to "repair" items amounted to repainting trim and an outbuilding that we really had no value to the property. His estimate of $3,000 ended up being close to $7,000 with the Seller paying to fix things on top of that. To meet a $50K or $51K appraisal by paying that much money is totally unrealistic. I recommend VU never use that appraiser and/or their office again in the future.
>I asked about using funds above the appraisal/selling price and was told no. Ends up we did do that. Just another point that made me wonder if Todd understood the VA loan process.
>Bottom Line: We have purchased three homes through VA before this one. This loan process was the worst without a doubt. I never felt like VU was working for us. Compared to the other companies we used in the past I rate VU as the lowest. Especially when I compare VU to Quicken Loans I truly regret going with VU and not Quicken Loans.

Thank you for taking care of me and my family. God bless all of you.
she was very very helpful team found homes forest he just went out of her way to satisfy as
We did NOT like working with Eric Richardson from Remax. We felt like he didn't do anything on our behalf. Every time we had a problem he just shrugged his shoulders at it and left it up to us to work out. I felt like a GOOD realtor would have fought the issue before even bringing it to the client.
Give Joel a pay raise! He did a wonderful job. My agent, and the lady at the title office both were very happy with him. Both commented on how he made the process go smoothly, even though the selling agent was a real horse's hindend. Joel is very professional and I would have NO problem recommending him to anyone.
Between the V.A. and my realator (va representative) it seemed like we were their number one priority when it came to getting our first home.I have headed nothing but horrible stories about the program and it turned out to be all false.I believe that when we do decide to sell our house in the future that it will be to another veteran.I wanna THANK you Nathan and my realator for everything.GOD bless you guys.
The professionalism and dedication of Veterans Home Loans is thoroughly represented by Alice Schneider. I will definitely recommend this establishment and loan specialist to any and everyone.
If we ever have this to do again, we would probably go locally for a loan if needed.
I just want to thank the Veterand United team for all their hard work to help get me into the home of my dreams. I will highly recommend them to every veteran I know who is looking to purchase a home.
