I didn’t think I’d be in my own house this year. Veterans United not only approved my loan but actually approved me for $150,000 more than I initially thought I could qualify for. The entire team that I had the pleasure to work with helped me when there were questions and kept me up to date. I even closed early with their help. Thank you everyone!

Listen up gents,
I wasnt in the position to buy a home but this VU team headed by Mr. Paul Betts steered me in the right direction to prepare ourselves to purchase our home we were living in already as renters so we wouldnt have to once again uproot and disturb our family, Paul didnt hesitate to be side by side with us in the trenches and figure out our goal even when the muck got thick we weathered the storm and prevailed
To the entire VU team my family wishes to extend an invitation to our home if you ever find yourselves in California, our casa es tu casa, thank you guys for your hard work

Seemed to be too many hoops to jump through when we are a well qualified buyer with top credit scores. Requests to get Retirement Orders, A signed letter from a Commander (in this case a General) and the Retirement pay calculator was redundant and very demeaning. Especially when we could just purchase the property with cash and our $1.6 million in investments were not even taken into account. This was after our loan officer said the letter from the commander wouldn’t be required.

Response from Veterans United

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I can understand why this process felt frustrating, especially when additional documentation was requested after you were told certain items might not be needed. Receiving conflicting information and being asked for multiple documents can make an already stressful process feel unnecessarily difficult.

I'm sorry that your experience left you feeling discouraged and disrespected. While documentation requirements can sometimes change as a loan moves through the review process, it's important that expectations are communicated clearly and consistently along the way. It sounds like we fell short of providing that clarity in your case.

I'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more about what happened and review your concerns in greater detail. If you're willing, please contact our Client Advocate team at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so I can look into your experience further.

The Client Advocate team is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday. If you reach out outside those hours, we can typically respond the next business day.

Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager

Crystaline and Lani were superb!! Every question and concern my wife and I had, they were there with reassurance and answers. This was my wife and I first home purchase and we had a very interesting case but through it all everything worked out and we got our keys.
Thank you ladies! Cheers to you.

Despite the lack of availability of being consistent with communication due to long hours of work on my end, Brice did an absolute OUTSTANDING job working alongside with my realtor, kept me on my toes and on time with all requirements, deadlines, and consistent communication with everyone being aware and in the loop. Would highly recommend others to work with Veterans United. Thank you for caring and helping me with the process of purchasing my first home!
