The only issue I had was the misunderstanding of paying closing cost. I originally wanted to pay a portion of the closing cost with hopes of bringing down the APR from 4% to something lower. Shawn mentioned that I would be able to do that by just having the funds available in my account prior to closing. At the closing date I followed up with this and I was not able to bring the APR down. The papers would have to be drawn up again and the closing date pushed back. I opted to just keep the 4% but I would appreciate it more if there was more clarity, understanding, and trust in our discussions.
I'm not happy,im thankful that it's over but overall I was displeased with the miscommunication, sending same paperwork over and over again, the disrespect brought on to my agent,I am with the American Legion and I have very little good to say to my comrades
James Walrod and his team provided exceptional service through the entire refinance process. Very thorough and communicative! We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I have recommended and will continue to recommend Veterans United Home Loans. You guys just make the whole process stress free.
Everything went by smoothly and we requested for the process to be sped up and it was from the Veterans United side.
Every single person in the office was well informed, patient, respectful and extremely helpful with decisions and the entire process!

VA appraisal was submitted 2 weeks late by the lender.
Outstanding
Unfortunately this experience was not as pleasurable as my first. I have processed two mortgages with VU over the past year in excess of $500k total. My first experience was flawless, this is what allowed me to return. The latest experience was not as pleasurable. I attribute it to mis-communications and general lack of situational awareness and expectation management resulting in frustrations and additional cash to close that was unexpected. Had I not been so close to closing, and dedicated so many hours to meet the VA requirements, I would have stopped the process and restarted with another company. In the end, the mortgage was completed.
Loved working with Veterans United. Really took care of me and all my needs.
