I was amazed at how easy Veterans United made it throughout the entire process. I expected a lot more time consuming work on my end. VU has it down to simple step by step process.I will say that having five recent senior enlisted leaders (ie. - Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps and his peers from the other branches) vouching for VU, even has paid advisers, had a SIGNIFICANT impact on our choosing to go with VU. Finding a lender online was not the most comforting thing I've done. I had questions and doubts. But when I saw that group on the VU website and their testimonies my concerns were put to rest. I placed a lot of trust in that group and their vouching for VU. Without that initial impact I may not have gone with VU.Now, after going through the whole mortgage process with VU, Ashley, and Maggie, the military seniors were correct. VU was the right choice.... very positive experience all the way around.
Jeff and Shan helped me out to get good interest rate and finished documents work. They were done well.
All was good except communication wasnt timely and last minute questions that came up to answer non existant issues was irritating. Plus when you were concern that my wifes ssn was associated with my name and you had it next to mine on the application my confidence was shaken.
the only thing that should be looked at is the number of emails. I think it was in the first 2 weeks I was bombarded by so many emails from different people it was hard to keep track of.
