great
I'm all about "personalized customer service" but I didn't get that feeling with VU; 99% of the transaction was done online or over the phone. I understand all about "convenience" but seriously not meeting the people, who are asking personal information from you, until the end of the transaction was nerve-wrecking. We've closed and I still haven't met two of the team's members. If I may make a suggestion: the team involved with the transaction have a meeting with the buyer(s) at least once at the beginning of the transaction.
The process was "painless". I have used my VA Loan benefit several times and with some institutions, the paperwork and documentation needs seemed excessive. With Veterans United, it was clear which documents were required and very easy to get them submitted.
Staff were fantastic, easy process.
I was not kept up to date on many things. Many forms were very late. It was difficult waiting at my realtor's office in California - After a very long trip, I was exhausted. Then, after they made the Monday appointment with me, I waited all day in Lincoln NE for the final papers. It was a horribly hot day and I was SICK! The round trip travel time was 3 hours. I left home before 10 AM and returned around 9:30 that night very sick. And I just discovered the bill for which they collected $3000 from me at closing has yet to be paid. It was past the due date, so I had to make a payment. I could say more, but basically, it feel like no one knows what is going on there!
The staff is very knowledgeable and is more than willing to help you in all aspects of home buying.
They we efficient, organized and always willing to help you. Brooks Onishi, Kai Kalua-Dansbury & Kevin Clarke all helped us with our loan process. They are the best team to work with hands down. If I ever buy another home I would be through Veterans United Home Loans.
Very pleasant experience, Derek and Krista were great, also I have already told a family member about them and they will be contacting them next week.
Ginny Young is Veterans Home Loans. I recommend Ginny Young, she has what it takes to help us veterans buy and live our dreams. She made me feel happy and secure of what i was purchasing.
Give options as to realtors and recommended class or meeting with a Realator if someone is a first time home buyer
Overall it was not a good experience.
This was my first time buying a home and Jerry was on top of everything the entire time.
They did an excellent job given the short time frame and pressure they were under.
Krystal Palmer was attentive and supportive through the entire process.
Craig Anderson was wonderful to work with.
