Veterans United was really great they were there everytime I needed something and we were able to complete this very quickly and painless we are so happy we choose Veterans United.
Great to work with.
VU worked hard to make this loan happen for a 77year old vet with limited computer knowledge. Already being a homeowner, I was surprised to see how much the loan process has changed.
The whole Veterans United team was very helpful, polite, and motivated. They were very proactive in reaching out and answering questions, they definitely made me feel more confident about the home buying process! I thought buying a house was going to be one big, constant headache; but working with you guys made it so easy and now I have a house! Thank you!
Dava and her team are the best that I have worked with in the mortgage industry. I will recommend her hands down every time! I am a lifer!!!!
Create people to work with very thorough.

I'm a big fan of Matt. Made it extremely easy and was attentive to our needs from day 1.If and when I move again, I hope to use Matt Istwan.
I loved working with this team. They were very informative, thorough, fast and convenient as most of the documents were signed via electronically.

My Veterans United Loans team, David, Anna & Nicole were awesome. If I had any questions or problems they were always readily available.
Lance and Cori did an amazing job and excellent customer
Amber and Chad were incredibly helpful through the entire process. Buying a home is extremely stressful at times but Amber was very patient and kind. She handled the entire process and made it really easy for me and was quick to answer any questions. I recommend all veterans buying a home to go through veterans united! Im so glad I didn't do this without them!
This was my first time using Veterans United for a VA loan, and overall the experience was good, but not without some avoidable frustrations. What went well:
The loan team was responsive and helpful when I had questions, and they explained the VA-specific parts of the process clearly — things like how the NOV works, what the appraisal means, and what to expect as we moved through underwriting. When issues came up, they did work to correct them, and the communication itself was solid. What could have been better:
Some of the early estimates were off, and a few fees showed up later that hadn’t been included in initial disclosures. I also had to point out several items that should’ve been marked as paid. None of this is catastrophic, but it did create extra work on my end.
The biggest frustration was the appraisal being scheduled later than it should have been, which pushed closing back by a week. That delay had real impact on my timeline.Bottom line:
Veterans United ultimately got the loan approved and handled the VA process competently, but I’d recommend future borrowers stay on top of details and timelines. The team is helpful, but you’ll want to double-check the numbers and make sure everything is progressing when it should.
