I had an excellent experience with both Tyson Smith and Lisa Shrum. I was ALWAYS treated as a 1st class customer. When I had questions or concerns, a response came same day. My loan is 15% of the purchase price, so not in the six figures. Never once was I treated like a number, and ALWAYS given good insight when I issues acquiring documents. Thank you for allowing me a loan. It is greatly appreciated.
Everyone was a professional
Brandon Elkins is not a very good representative. He is cocky and condescending. If you listen to his voicemail he emphasizes “at HIS convenience” for returning calls, of which, he never did. Only reason I received a call back was because I reached out via messaging system for VU and texted Amanda who was our primary rep when we first applied for a mortgage loan. Mr. Elkins is also not a team player. We first came in contact with him when he called me after I inquired on a payout amount for the loan online. I informed him that we tried to re-finance a few months prior but was not content with the closing costs amount. He went on saying that I spoke to another department and that “they work differently and at times not beneficial to the client.” Bottom line, Brandon is not a good person to represent VU and it feels like he should fine another job so that he is not such a miserable person.
If it wasn’t for Amanda following up, I would have definitely gone with another company for our refinance.

Want to know what clutch means? Look it up then put Ryan Schuermann’s name next to it. First home he battled to help us get through a negative situation and promised If it falls through he would take care of us and he did. Second home he was checking in almost daily to see where everyone was at in the process. Me and my wife only had to follow his lead. Even our realtor said she wish he was in her field cause she would hire him off of his tenacity!!! We love RYAN and oh he provided little gifts each month throughout the whole process. BEST EXPERIENCE through a difficult and gruesome process.
