Thank you from the bottom of our heart the house is beautiful and the staff was family thank you
Very friendly and on the ball.
Overall excellent experience with all involved.
Only issue is that there was a program incentive for using a referred realtor with a cash value. I have yet to receive anything. I believe it was to be 200.00
Dan Cavanaugh was our agent. We did most of the "leg work" for finding houses we wanted to look at. He only offered to look at one other, which just driving up to it we knew the VA would not pass the inspection on it. It was like we knew more (which wasn't a lot) about what the VA would or would not approve than him. He didn't return phone calls, only answered by text. We feel he delayed getting certain documents taking care of in a timely manner. He just didn't make us feel like he cared about us or our buying needs. Just before closing his co-workers just kept telling us how much money the seller was already losing on the house, when we gave them the estimate for replacing a door the renter had kicked in before moving out. We felt like they were more concerned about the seller than US the BUYER!! He made the experience VERY stressful and unpleasant. We would not recommend him to anyone!!
The men working with me were the best! Aaron an Matt kept my real estate agent, Mark up to date on everything and it went so smooth. I WILL tell everyone I know to check out Veterans United.

I really enjoyed working with Matt Schmidt and Kris. They were so helpful and accomodating. All the questions I had were always answered immediately. Their depth of knowledge and demonstrated expertise gave me confidence that they were always telling me the actual facts and I never had to second guessed anything they told me. I feel that this was a great experience and I am so happy to have found them! I was referred to Matt by local realtor and was told that he was great at what he does... I can say that I definitely am not disappointed and Matt sure did live up to the referral that was given! I will definitely refer anybody I know to him, or to Veteran's United. :)
I had to provide extra paper work on top of paper work over and over again. I asked Eric if this was the under writer's first loan because they continued to ask for more documents and extra explanations on top of what I already provided. I understand paper has to be right but i think that they should know everything they need up front. I felt like it was just thrown together and sloppy.
You have a great loan officer workign for you! Brent Shultz was amazing and super easy to work with. In fact, I tried to refi a couple of years ago and worked with him, but we didnt' end up going through with it due to some impedements. After a couple of years went by, I specifically contacted him again to go forward with the refi due to his honesty and ease to work with.
Overall expierience was difficult. I knew it would be from the get go due to phone only communications so it was what i expected. Im not sure why every day something new would come up and my wife and I jumped through hoops to make sure it was complete. I felt like some of the information could have been provided at an earlier date to remove confusion and the end the result of pushing back the closing. Part of this could have been due to myself being dink on a few peices of information but overall there were alot of hiccups that i felt like it could of been avoided. Overall I felt like kayla wanted me to get do everything i could to recieve the home loan and was fairly easy to contact. it was more difficult to contact kayla via phone but she was very prompt with returning emails.
I did not use the real estate agent that was recommended. This may have also been why the process was difficult at times because my real estate agent was not familiar with VA home loans.
Keep up the good work. Us Veterans appreciate the extra mile you guys put into help making buying a first home a seamless experience.
other then the kind treatment and personal touch of Emilee Rickard,(THAT WAS CLEAR WAS NOT THE NORM) the whole experience felt like and assembly line.
"get them in get them out "we would not go to such a large business again ,but will look for a small local business, that can give us the treatment and personal touch we need and deserve.
like I said Ryan was great the , the realtor had very poor performance and I had to do all the leg work .
Once again I am extremely satisfied with how everything went and would recommend VA United to anyone in a heartbeat!. Thanks again
