What happened happened the situation for me was very stressful but in the end I got the home and the loan so that's good. As a manger and former project engineer this is something easily fixed and and as this may be obvious I still offer my advise for future veterans sake.1. Communicate verbally and email to your customer your leaving for will not be able to communicate for whatever period of time.
2. Set up a plan for another licensed loan officer to take over in your absence. Have that person call customer to firm up the take over plan.
3. Never ever trust that someone else in your organization will manage your customer the way that you would or should. That being said make sure #1 nd 2 are done before and after you leave.

As a first-time homebuyer, the process seemed daunting. But working with Veterans United made this one of the easiest transactions I've ever done. When I tell people how long it took from the initial application the clear-to-close, they all tell me that must be in record time. They proved that their company is singularly focused on each application and want to do everything they can to get us to move-in day. I'm proud to say that I chose VU as my lender.
I would certainly recommend Veterans. James was great. I finally got to meet him at the closing and it seemed like we knew each other for a long time.
