20 out of 10!!! Our loan officer Jake, went above and beyond to help us get this loan approved and funded. It was an atypical loan as we were inheriting the home and had to navigate through a few issues. Jake was helpful, informative and encouraging with each bump in the road, researching and working with his team to find solutions. He always kept us in the loop as to where we were in the process. We've had many home loans over the years but never one this difficult. It would've been easy to give up if it had not been for Jake's help and encouragement. Nicole was our transaction coordinator and she was another 20 out of 10! Nicole was helpful, efficient and quick to respond. She was right on top of everything that was needed to get through the process. It's very evident that these two work well together, know what they're doing and really care about their clients. I love VU. Apart from VU, this was the worst home buying experience I have ever had..... We have purchased 6 houses over the last 25 years. 3 of them have been through VU.
Overall, great experience!! If you’re a Veteran and looking for a lender? Look nowhere else!! Veterans United helped tremendously and were able to beat the other 2 lenders I was considering.
The journey was fun. It was pretty smooth for my first time home buyer. It did have a few dips that left me with some doubt but like all storms it cleared up!
