I just wanted to thank the entire team that helped make our dreams come true. I am extremely happy with the process that our Veterans United team supplied us with. The portal was extremely easy to manage and utilize. The to-do list was very helpful and straight forward uploading or signing the documents needed. It was great to know what needed to be done and helped us guage our time line as we went through this process. I would 1000% recommend this team to any of my other Veteran friends who are looking to purchase a home. Thank you again!
There were several issues that I felt could have been handled better. A lack of true communication was the biggest stumbling block. VU assumes buyers either know more than they do or assumes you will just let them handle everything and you just go along for the ride. I regret picking VU for this experience. In the future I will make a different choice.

VU has been a Godsend to me and my family. They made sure that we were well taken care of! Our team led by Kedric and Dena was the best we could ever ask for. Always ensuring we were up to date and confident in our decisions, never steering us to do something, but making sure we made the right decision by ensuring we knew everything we possibly could, made this such an amazing buying experience! We lost my grandfather right after we made an offer on our first home, and our team at VU made an impression on me that I couldn't describe. When we got home from my grandfather's funeral, on our doorstep was a wind-chime that has the beginning notes of Amazing Grace with a card. They found the last tear I had that day. I can never get over our experience with VU, we were told horror stories about the VA home-buying process, but none of it is true with Veteran's United! I had the amazing good fortune to have Jacob Halls as my Loan Officer with Veterans United, and I simply can't say enough good things about him - I'm going to try.When I first found Veterans United through an online search, Jacob reached out to me. I wasn't quite ready to buy a house at that point, but Jacob kept in touch with me, offering me information and support. When I was finally ready, I let Jacob know and did he ever deliver excellent service for me. He was always available and responded to my every query and request for information super-fast! He explained the loan process with patience and good humor and was simply a nice person to talk to. I felt like he understood my needs and gave me easy-to-understand information.If I ever buy a house again - which I really don't want to as this was 31st move - I'm going to call Jacob. And I'm going to tell my veteran friends about my excellent experience with Veterans United and Jacob Halls. Jacob is a gem and gets 11 stars out of 10 from me.
This will be the first home that we have lived in that we have owned for 12 years. We did not expect to be in Maryland for eight years, but that is where my husband retired. We are so excited to buy the home that we hope to call her forever home. And we are so thankful for the team that helped make it possible from your organization. I just received a gift from the loan team yesterday for my cat. That was such a considerate thing to do. And my cat loved the treats. I would recommend your team any day.

I used to work overseas and out of state for years until I decided to settle down. I read reviews of other veterans on several forums about VU, their rates, and customer service. Although I heard alot of negative things like taking advantage of veterans who think they can only get a VA loan through VU, my experience was a positive one. I did browse through other lenders and felt VU had the best terms. In the beginning I spoke with my assigned loan officer Nathan Anderson and he explained the terms of the loan in a manner I could understand as a first time home buyer. After I finally found a home, we had a group email chain that kept me informed about each and every turn. It felt like a conference call within a large company where I felt like I was placed at the head of the table, all through the screen of my personal phone. I read in between breaks at work, scheduled calls at convenient times, and at the end of the day. When something did come up where I had some doubts, the team scrambled to find a solution and did the leg work for me even if it was something I could've done on my own. I dont know if it's finally having my own home or the graceful experience I had through this process, but I dont have enough good words to thank the team for putting me in this position. I hope this feeling is here to stay for good and I can find a team like that to navigate my own personal life! Thank you for helping me find my way home.
