The entire process was made as simple and easy as possible. I had someone guiding me through the process every step of the way, I never felt like I had to figure something out on my own. The peace of mind delivered to me through Larry and his team at VU made all the difference throughout this process. I am now a homeowner, and they played a large part in that.

Everything they did was great took some doing but as a team we all got it done in under 30 days

Approaching retirement, never having bought property in the USA and buying a house to include our adult son and his family, I approached this process with some trepidation. Finding Veterans United almost by chance (our son is a vet) was the best thing that happened. Their network of professionals in every area of the process from offering a realtor to insurance and all the other areas we needed guidance in is a superior service. The whole team was caring and reassured us throughout the journey to home ownership. Our whole family has been blessed.

Brittney and JB were phenomenal. As first time home buyers, the team were always quick to respond to our questions. You can tell they truly care and want to help their clients have the best possible experience. We are truly grateful to have them as our team.

Thank you for this great experience! We weren’t quite sure how this process would go. Veterans United made it easy and enjoyable!

Great job

Katie Liefers was also very helpful in my home buying process

Everyone who worked on our loan was amazing making sure we understood everything that was asked and why. We learned so much as first time buyers who had no clue where to start. We couldn't have done it without you and will make sure all our military friends know how fantastic the service is!

Jaime was very helpful from the very beginning. She kept me up to date on everything, even before I got the email/to-do list. She was super informative & gave us options on what's the best route to go after our loan lock was about to expire due to an uncontrollable circumstance. Carly our Branch Loan coordinator was excellent as well. She kept our communication with title & Escrow going very smoothly. She was the voice of reason for all the bumps in the road. Thank you ladies so much!! We couldn't have closed on this home without you!!!

Most of my interactions was was with Carson Brown and Kendall Haun.I was impressed with the timeliness and follow-up to get my loan through the process. I could alway count on getting a real time or same day response to any questions I had.I like the fact that this team used phone and text as applicable to keep me informed of next steps - or reminding me to access the secured website for things that were more sensitive in nature.Overall my experience was a good one and Veterans United should be proud to have these two professionals on the team. This is my second round with VU and I have nothing to offer but praise for the service I received. Be advised my currrent activities were driven by a unique need and while I did not want to extend my debt or the scope of repayment- I’ll be back when rates fall again. :)

Matt’s team were awesome! Fastest VA close ever for me!! They sent to do lists & we supplied needed items as soon as we could access them! 19 days from when Matt got contract to final closing! 🙌🏼

Overall the refinance experience was smooth and generally painless for a relatively complex transaction involving an estate except for two issues that arose with the VA Home inspection and the "services you can shop for".
1. Don't pay the VA inspection fee until the house is completely ready to be inspected - you will have little to no flexibility scheduling the inspector once it's paid. In our case I paid the fee on Monday and the inspector was coming on Thursday whether we were ready or not.
2. You don't actually need to shop for those services unless you want to, although some automated messaging may make it sound like you might have to. If you do shop, shop EARLY in the process. The problem with mortgages is that people generally do them infrequently unless they are in housing business in some way, so the whole process is novel or nearly so each time. Pay attention and ask questions early. Make sure you understand the answers sufficiently well enough to execute on them correctly. On the plus side, the Veteran's United Portal is great and easy to use. I would have liked to be able to apply a comment to each document I uploaded stating what it was since there were a few additional documents had to upload that weren't on the todo list, such as additional paystubs.

I had a wonderful home buying experience with Veterans United. Thank you all for everything. Will and Madison was awesome.
