I never thought I’d own a home. Every year was always “maybe next year.” Veterans United came through for me in the same way we come through for each other in the Marine Corps. They’re family now.
As a first time Homebuyer, at times it felt like we were an inconvenience for asking questions for in-depth understanding of the homebuying process. Especially if we needed reassurance and further explanations. We feel as if VU connected us with a bad realty company and realtor. We wanted to fire our realtor many times but were afraid of pushing back our closing date later than it had been postponed. We complained to VU about how he needed cultural competence because race felt like a major factor when he was communicating with me versus my husband.
