This was our first home purchase, and we were lost! VU took us by the hand and helped us through the process. The staff was very professional and yet very friendly. It was a blessing to work with our team. We could tell that they honestly cared about our needs and desires. The home buying experience was not an easy one. We had many ups and downs and complications but Michael and Katy were there for me every step of the way. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn't be in my new house right now. They made my dreams a reality!
Everything overall was smooth and easy. The loan team was fantastic. I tried to use a veteran United realtor and that was the hardest part. They called me one time to enroll me in onehome. He didn’t seem to care what fit my needs or what I was looking for other than an area around where I was looking, and how much I got approved for. I asked him about a few places and he said I couldn’t get approved due to it being too old or a modular home. I went with a different realtor and within looking at 3 houses I had made an offer on the house I would purchase. Now into the loan… everything was fairly easy however the interest rate they gave me quoted was locked in even though the rates dropped drastically from offer to closing. When closing you receive the final document to close all numbers should be ran and current interest rates should be applied.

From my first phone call to the last my loan team made everything smooth and easy even when things got rocky. Lance Nilson and Nathan graham did everything in their power to ensure our loan was approved even when myself as a buyer thought it wouldn’t. Veterans United is an awesome place for veterans to go for whatever loan they need for getting a home. Even when my Va loan fell through because of some technicalities our loan officer did everything in his power to get us to closing and now we are proud homeowners and forever veterans united customers.
I'm stepping into a new phase in life. That said, Daren and his team have been absolutely essential players in my game plan to renew my joy. Thank you so much for making this an easy process!

My team at veterans United was absolutely phenomenal, from my realtor to my underwriter, I couldn’t have asked for a better team to work so seamlessly together. 10/10 I would not only recommend but I would work with them again.
We had reservations, but the online process and communication were excellent. Couldn’t ask for a smoother experience, and this is coming from a former loan processor with 10+ experience in the mortgage industry and Mortgage Bankers Association certification.
