I didn’t need constant calls from people wanting to connect me with a security company, or even the one that called to set me up with Home Insurance (which took a long time to go through the whole process over the phone before telling me at the very end “oh sorry, we can’t insure you”) I hate having my time wasted, and I don’t understand why VU works with the only company out of almost 10 that I shopped around with, that is inexplicably unable to even provide insurance and requires someone to waste 20 minutes of your time before even telling you they can’t provide insurance. Honestly that was the only frustrating (and somewhat baffling) part of the whole experience.
Also, if I have a house under contract with an agent… don’t have another agent contact me. That seems like common sense.However, the loan team I had was exceptional and I really appreciate how squared away they were.
Over all in comparison to our first time using the VA we did not have the greatest experience. Our realtor on several occasions had to call Rachel for extensive amounts of times to get answers and her lack of communication caused an unnecessary amount of stress with the closing. We hope to have a better experience for the future but thank you to all those involved for giving us a new home.
We want to thank the staff at Veterans United for sticking with us during a very difficult time in our lives. We appreciate their kindness and dedication to problem solving very much. We learned quite a lot about buying a house without a real estate agent. I do not think we would do this again, but the staff helped us enormously to figure things out.
Veterans United went above and beyond assisting me and my wife with our first home purchase!
