Veterans United was very easy to work with. As first time home buyer, a lot of this process was new to me. I liked how I was set up with a whole team for which I had easy access to throughout the process. Their online portal contained easy to follow "To-Do" checklists for each step in the home buying process. I received links to instructional videos which were very helpful in explaining important aspects of the home buying process. If I felt those videos were not enough, I was always able to contact and speak directly with my Loan Officer and was always able to get all my questions answered. We are very happy with our home purchase and I would definitely work with this group again.
I truly am grateful for all the help and patience and beyond that , finding what was best financially for me!
There were a few requirements from underwriting that did not apply to me such as a 1099 for untaxed retirement income that had me chasing my tail for a while that I feel that a company that specializes in veteran home loans should have known about.

I greatly appreciated to team work from Mike, Stephanie, and Mikayla to ensure that this process went well for more. I was able to get a better interest rate, but that required me have to consult with other lenders. That process should have been streamlined to ensure that all candidates are getting the best interest. The final contact is confusing as it relates to the price of the incentives and down payment being added back taking the prices of the up to $592K. I am elated to have purchased a home, but still wish for future buyers a more streamline process that is both honest and rewarding. Thank you Mike Kane for walking me through this process and being available to address my questions and concerns and champions my request that were within your ability. I am greatly appreciative of the care, compassion, and support given by all during the process.
