I have one suggestion, a special team just for disabled veterans. My team was excellent, however, with my husband being 100% disabled I totally disagreed with the prepayment of one year of property taxes. Disabled veterans normally don’t pay property taxes. Now we have to wait until the new year until we can apply for the exemption. I would have felt better had all disabled veterans had special teams who did nothing but loans for disabled veterans. We were shocked at the out of costs expense of this loan! However, these issues are not a reflection on our loan team. They did what they could. I feel like this is more of a reflection on VU. Once again, this is only a suggestion. It won’t help me any but it may help other disabled veterans in the future. Thank you for the opportunity to voice my opinion.
