In addition to the players above, Brittany and Forest were great! Both were constantly in contact with us, calling us, texting us, and keeping us informed throughout the process. This was my first time purchasing a home and it was overwhelming at times, but Forest was there to answer all my questions and get back to me if he didn't know the answer. It's fantastic the work that can be done from another state. I am so glad we had Brittany and Forest there for us.

I would have used the LOCAL Veterans United office, but my husband read the reviews and was absolutely NOT impressed. He was worried that we would be one of those veterans who would put so much money toward their house and not be able to close on it. I had started MY process in early 2021, I think, and put it on hold until my husband was ready to try. We were told that there would be a "soft pull" on our credit report prior to the hard inquiry, but there was a couple of hard inquiries that affected our scores. Please train your loan officers better. Veterans can smell bullshit a mile away. We are direct and prefer not to have our chains pulled. Some of us would appreciate a more genuine person to deal with, not someone whose only goal is financial gain.I find it weird that the underwriter did a lot of work, but nowhere is there a question about how SHE did. I just want to let Gray Grimm know that her hard work has been appreciated... Thank you so much!ONE MORE THING... PLEASE DO NOT USE OR SELL MY INFORMATION TO ANY OF YOUR AFFILIATES. I value MY privacy and don't want the junk emails, calls, or texts. Thanks. I already receive more that I want or need.
Everyone was great! Even through the stress the process wasn't too bad. The communication did get muddled a little bit but we recovered! I think a printable checklist for the entire process might help new home owners out more so they are less confused.
After 2 times of not so much luck, I hit pay dirt when I discovered my childhood home was just about ready to go on the market. I was able to contact the flipper of the property and explain to him that it was my childhood home and he told me he wanted me to have it. I got Sarah Rupp, from Better Homes and Gardens involved and the rest was history. I now own the house that my mom and dad owned when I was a child and I couldn't be happier.
Everything was fully explained, went smooth as the silk parachutes I used to use to jump out of perfectly good aircraft with, and I trusted VU to give me the soft landing like they did!!!
Phone contact was fantastic from everyone that i worked with. There was a little disconnect with finding the correct eligibility letter and the lady that i was working with at that time didn’t know where to find the form either. After talking with a friend of mine he was able to help me find it to upload it. But other than that amazing service. Thank you for the help.
